Frank Clemente, PHD
Frank Clemente is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Penn State University. He specializes in research on the socioeconomic aspects of energy policy. He holds a PhD from the University of Tennessee and was a Post-Doctoral NIMH Fellow. He previously served on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Kentucky. He is author of The Global Value of Coal for the International Energy Agency (IEA) and has contributed to energy studies for the Edison Electric Institute, National Coal Council, National Science Foundation and others. His work has appeared in American Coal , World Oil, Public Utilities Fortnightly, Oil and Gas Journal , Nuclear News and a wide variety of other energy related media. Fred Palmer
Fred Palmer is a globally recognized thought leader and advocate for the continued and expanded use of coal. With over 35 years of experience, including 14 years as Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Peabody Energy and 21 years as CEO of the Western Fuels Association, Palmer has deep expertise in coal-related legal, regulatory, economic, and technical issues He was a member of the National Coal Council under six U.S. Presidents and the former Chairman of the World Coal Association. He received both his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona.
